Jenin Governor's kidnapping reveals a long known fact

In case you didn't know, yesterday the Jenin city governor was hijacked by the Al-Aqsa martyrs brigade and beaten up. he was released after 8 hours of horror. Al-Aqsa martyrs brigade claimed that the Jenin governor (appointed by Arafat himself) is a traitor and is cooperating with Israel.

A Palestinian militant group says it has released the kidnapped Palestinian governor of Jenin after Palestinian President Yasser Arafat intervened.

Haider Irsheid was abducted earlier Saturday in broad daylight by members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. He was beaten in the street, then driven to the city's refugee camp where he was briefly held.

So far so good. But here's something, that if I'm not mistaken noone in the blogosphere picked up.

The local leader of Al Aqsa, Zakariye Zubeydi, said the governor was released after Mr. Arafat directly ordered his release. He said the group does not question Mr. Arafat's instructions.

They don't question Arafat's instructions... So that means that all the terrorist activities in the last three years conducted by the Al-Aqsa martyrs brigade were either ordered by arafat, or could've been simply prevented by a direct order. So either he ordered attacks, or he could easily stop hundreds of various attacks on Israeli civilians. Either way, this is direct evidence, which could serve in the court of law, if Arafat was ever prosecuted.
A statistical listing of the Al-Aqsa martyrs attack can be found here.
